Best Chrome Extensions for Community Building and Marketing

Recently I posted on Twitter asking my community what their top tools are. It sparked a great conversation, and I want to share my hacks with you.
Anyone who knows how can build a Chrome extension for a project or idea. Then, you can hook it up to your Chrome tab to help you with your work.
It helps you save time whether you’re a storyteller, marketer, or founder, and there are extensions for everything from video tools to editing tools to productivity hacks.

7 of My Favourite Chrome Extensions
#1: Grammarly
The Grammarly Chrome extension feels like a Human editor in your laptop. It’s a built-in editor for all your copy; whether writing in docs, the comments of LinkedIn, or an email, Grammarly will edit the grammar and even add comments on your intended tone.
There’s a free version, but I’m writing so much that I invested in the paid version. (I’m not sponsored for saying this, I’m genuinely just pumped on the tool.)
It’ll help you write more quickly and be more efficient while still sounding professional. If you’re frequently emailing investors or new hires, this tool is for you.
#2: Last Pass
Last Pass is a password sharing extension. It allows you to share access to an account without telling what the password is. 🤫
If I wanted to let someone into my Twitter account but didn’t want them to know my password, I can send them the Last Pass link and they can get access without knowing exactly what my password is.
This is valuable if you use the same password for everything, and you don’t want your assistant helping you with Canva to log into your bank account… or if you’re always forgetting your login.
This is what I use with clients to streamline efficiency when I assist with their LinkedIn accounts.
#3: Loom
Loom is a video recording software that allows you to record yourself through your camera, your screen, or both. On the free version, you can record for up to 5 minutes.
The best part is that you can easily send the video over email or text via a link (don’t worry about saving or sending large files).
It’s a great way to communicate or send feedback a-sync, and you get a notification when your video has been viewed. 👀
The Loom Chrome extension allows you to start recording your screen and any browser tab in seconds, just by pressing the Loom icon.
#4: Ubersuggest
This chrome extension by Neil Patel, Ubersuggest, is a quick keyword, search rankings, and views per month on any website. I’ve been nerding out on this; anytime someone sends me a website I love to check out the stats.
#5: Visualize Value
If you’ve heard of Jack Butcher, you most likely know about his innovative graphics that make complex concepts or quotes more simple:
Every time you open your browser, this Visualize Value Chrome extension shows a Jack Butcher design.
I love it. It’s a great way to focus my mind anytime I open a browser to learn, write, or build something.
#6: Adblock
With over 350 million downloads, AdBlock is probably the most fundamental Chrome extension.
It’s purpose is in the name: removing random ads you don’t want to focus on.
So you can finally check ESPN stats without all the ads…
#7: Hunter
The Hunter Chrome extension is an email search tool with up to 50 free searches per month.
If you’re looking at a company website, you can click extension in your browser, and it will surface any emails that are connected to the company.🔍
This last one is one of my best kept secrets. I use it all the time, and it feels like a hidden superpower. ⚡️
